I've started a Substack. If you want to get a newsletter, then please subscribe here.
Giving you the inside scoop
Upon the publication of my second novel, The Summoning, and with four more novels and a short story already in the hands of my publishers, I want to connect more personally with my readers. If you want to get my thoughts about my characters, novels, and writing process, and if you want to learn in advance about upcoming sales and promotions, then my Substack is the place for you.
Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve enjoyed being “backstage” with my favorite musicians and writers and seeing cut scenes of or documentaries on my favorite TV shows and movies. And as an aspiring writer, I appreciated it when authors talked about craft, too. I’d like to provide that experience for my readers.
In a perfect world, I’d send out one Substack newsletter a week, but I’m a full-time English professor who got five novels accepted for publication in a matter of four months. Between teaching, grading, writing, and editing, I can’t promise I’ll be able to publish a newsletter every week. At the worst, it would be once a month.
As of right now, these newsletters will be free; I’m not engaging in the option of a paid subscription.
