Quick writing tip: Characters need names that don’t suck. Like, every genre has its naming conventions, and going outside that isn’t fun; it immediately breaks suspension of disbelief. You wouldn’t name a character in a medical drama Dr. Starkiller. Gritty police detectives aren’t named Detective Amelia Bedelia.
We all know these naming conventions, which it why it grates on us so much when someone goes outside them for a “clever” name or an “unusual” name, like a sitcom about a “regular” girl named Lucia Wisteria Windthief.
It's okay to have a character with a normal name, especially if you're writing about the real world.
